Come and join us for a fun and interactive craft-ernoon at The Upcycle Collective! The workshop will begin with a short talk about design and how it relates to upcycling. The children will then design and create their very own room décor which they can take home with them at the end of the workshop! There will be three different times suited to different age groups.
This workshop is designed to be fun and engaging whilst encouraging the children to develop their knowledge and curiosity within the world of creativity, design and upcycling!
The workshop will be lead by Rebecca Edwards, founder and upcycle designer at Second Chapter. Along with her knowledge in upcycle design she also has experience teaching and working with children. An assistant will also be present.
Each workshops is tailored specifically to the different age groups.
– For the 4-6 year olds there we will a focus on creativity and how we can use that to make our very own upcycled artwork for our rooms. (12.00 – 13.00)
– The 7-9 year olds will also have a focus on creativity but also touching on how we can use design and creativity together. The children will have a choice of creating artwork or a wall hanging using different upcycled materials. (13.30-15.00)
– The 9-13 year olds will have a much stronger focus on design. They will learn how we can use our creativity to design upcycled products that can be used in the real world. We will guide them in choosing an item of their choice to design and create for their bedrooms. (15.30-17.30)
Each workshop will include a fika break so please let us know any dietary requirements prior to the workshop.
The workshops can be held in both Swedish and English and we can adjust depending on the children’s needs.
Welcome! We look forward to meeting you all!
